Having used veterinarians who have taken Pitcairn's courses, it has become my belief that the vast majority of "veterinary homeopaths" are simply allopaths who use remedies allopathically. Independent thought does not survive the indoctrination of veterinary school (or med school) for most. Your pal and podcast guest Todd Cooney is a great example. I was told to repeat a 10M remedy daily as needed. Of course my dog's symptoms worsened - he proved the remedy! No, there needs to be a mass of "lay people" learning constitutional homeopathy, getting their CCH credential and treating animals along with people. We need to take back medicine from the corrupt veterinarians and doctors!

I only know there were many who took the same training who were unable to embrace homeopathy fully and do it justice. And that saddens me. To me, it changed everything. Even here in India, supposedly a hotbed of this modality, I have yet to find a homeopath who practices it properly. Such is the age of ignorance we find ourselves in.

Thank you Will more great info, my Dog did his cruciate lig chasing a deer, when he was 11 years old but homeopathy, laser acupuncture and red light therapy then hydro came to the rescue with massage inbetween. Had I have gone to a vet he would have wanted to use surgery, my dog is now 15 years old and v happy thank you.

Hi Will

I’ve logically dismissed the gaseous exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide as a fraud. Instead I assert mammalian physiology is using hydration. Hydration equals salt plus water. NaCl.

Dehydration being our Achilles heel.

Hence dry food consumption by animals will lead to dis-ease and suffering.

Birds and insects also thrive on salt. Birds of the sea drink salted water and excrete excess salt from their nostrils. I think we do the same when we have abundance.

Dehydration requires the adrenals to be active because it’s an emergency. Hence the rise in anxious pets.

The FIGHT/FLIGHT/FREEZE response.

Females require more salt to carry extra fluid while pregnant and to nurse their babies. Milk is a salt drink and babies the most hydrated beings.

Have you seen craving for salt in animals, self medicating? Elephants will travel large distances to find salted earth.

Thank you Dr. Falconer for sharing such informative, interesting and helpful information.

I wonder what homeopathy would do for a cat with bob cat fever?

Expand full comment

It would treat the cat, not the disease, just like every sound prescriber has been taught.

My cat survived the bob cat fever! He got treated at the vet clinic with IVs for 2 days and whatever medicine they gave him. I brought him home very weak and sick. We thought he'd die. But giving him lots of love and coaxing with warm tuna broth and milk, using a small syringe to feed him after 5 days he began to eat on his own little bits. It's been 9 days since his diagnosis and he looks totally well and bright eyed. I gave him a high quality kitten food even though he is 4 years old so to be easy on digestion. He's now eating Fresh Pet and everything just fine. We are so thankful he made it.
