I have been reading your newsletter quite some time now. I have even taken your rabies course several years back. I like that you talk to we non-vet people on our level so we can understand the ends and outs of what is wrong with our pets. Thank your for that.

I just wanted to add a site that may be a source for homeopathic medicine. I use them when I have bought the Boiron products. It is vitacost.com They have people and pet products to sell at a good price.

Thank for being an amazing advocate for our pets!

I'm convinced my cats teeth issues started when I got his teeth cleaned. Another thing that is heavily pushed on "good" pet owners.

This is outstanding. I'm so happy I found you. My 8yo cat just was diagnosed with diabetes and I want to manage with food as much as possible. And get him off Hills MD as soon as I can. And thank you for the vaccination info- I'm so glad to be educated on this now!

Just like people, the disease is driven by carbs. You might guess lions and all manner of wild cats never get this man made disease. All the best,

Try Washington Homeopathic or 1800Homeopathy

Thanks for the suggestions. unfortunately, 1800Homeopathy no longer seems valid either. Washington is on our list, but regularly we couldn't not used them as they said , without sufficient explanation , that they didn't carry some, surprisingly common, products.

So I have a cat that adopted me…He’s about 4 years old…have no Vaxx history on him with the exception that right before he showed up at my door (he was being cat sat by a neighbor), he was neutered and the vet required a Vaxx but don’t have that information about what that was. (And I don’t plan on vaxxing him.)

He eats ‘taste of the wild kibble’ and raw kitty food. He came to me eating that kibble. He loves the kibble…it’s like ‘crack’ to him. I’d like to get him off the kibble, but what do I replace it with? The sole raw food feeding would be expensive…he’s particularly fond of raw rabbit food, which is very pricey! (He’s an indoor outdoor cat and is a hunter…he’s a bunny killer for sure.)

No kibble for kitty, please: http://vitalanimal.com/no-kibble-for-kitty/. It's so counter to their being and health, you'll want to get off it ASAP. And raw food needn't be expensive, especially for a cat. See my Vital Animal Podcast episodes with Kasie Maxwell. There are two, and she'll help you make the jump.

This is a question regarding DM!! My 8 yr old GSD had an MRI, Jan 2023. It should 3 chronic bulging disks and 1 acute, larger one all in the thoracic/lumbar area. I started to notice ataxia around July/Aug 2023. Went back to the neurologist and was tested for DM. 100%, both genes.

He has been raw feed since a pup, was a hard and serious competitor in schutzhund and is now retired.

I would appreciate info on this disease. We are currently working with a rehab vet, 1x/week acupuncture/laser therapy, 2x/week underwater treadmill, daily/short walks, daily small scent mental work, and regular stretching sessions with bending exercises.

Thank you for any input/info on how to continue working with this amazing dog.

He is still walking and I'm using a harness, so far no accidents.

Degenerative myelitis is a bugger, I'm afraid. I was never able to cure one with homeopathy, though I think I only had two cases in 30 years. There's a vet from U. of Florida who's done lots of work on it, mainly with certain supplements, you'll find him. I'd follow his protocol and continue the good work you're doing.
