I have been using DMSO on my Springer, after a vestibular incident. Vet thought it was something in the brain, rather than inner ear. On the way back home, I remembered that DMSO prevents damage after a stroke. I cleaned and applied it to his temples, then headed back to get his prescribed meds. By the I got home (hour round trip), he was fine. I use it anytime his back legs seem wobbly. I am taking the homeopathic class. I have read it's effective against seizures, which is what my old dog had.

Do you remember the source that you read about effectiveness for seizures? I have a pup with seizures that no meds have gotten under control.

Start here: https://amidwesterndoctor.substack.com/p/dmso-could-save-millions-from-brain . Be sure and read the comments. Also. I was on a FB group, run by a woman with a springer that had seizures. She’d lost her other dog when she went into continuous seizures. She found that homeopathy was able to prevent seizures. The dog has since passed away and the group is gone. It might be worth checking into

Thank you! I'll look into the article. I've tried homeopathy without much success for prevention, but arnica + aconite really helps to bring her out of the seizures. I substitute that now for the harsh rx that was originally needed.

Dr. Will, I always look forward to your newsletter, and LOVE the photos you share from wherever you are in India!

Will you be offering the homeopathy group to join again at a later date? I paid for your short homeopathy course but haven’t had time to do it. Didn’t want too much info at once. My brain works slow.

Probably towards year end, Sandy. I’ll announce it in Vital Animal News.

The part I remembered was using it on humans with a stroke. I figured it was worth trying. Also, I used to belong to a FB group, run by a woman that had a springer with seizures. (Her other springer had to be put down as he went into continuous seizures.) she started investigating homeopathy and was able to lessen the seizures. That is a possibility for you too

Not easy work, but yes, I’ve cured epilepsy with homeopathy alone.

At home we use colloidal silver in place of antibiotics - humans, canines, and feline alike.

Can I give my 3 y.o. dashchund the distemper/parvo nosode ? He had the shots as a puppy but I have decided not to vaccinate going forward. thank you. ggb

Will Falconer, DVM's avatar

Immunity should be well established and nosodes only provide short term immunity, so not useful. No harm, but no need at this age.

So no concern about yearly vaccinations the vet is promoting either ?

Will Falconer, DVM's avatar

Absolutely. Any vet pushing those should be FIRED. Zero science

gigibelser@www.gigibelser.com's avatar

thanks so much. That would be just about all of them in Chicago

And almost the entire 49 other states !!!!
