The rabies discussion was much appreciated. Thank you!!

We could always do what the 'no to the jab' crowd did: start a parallel No Jab Required economy. At first it was jobs, then brick and mortar businesses and then eventually the big businesses (the 'enforcers' of non-legislative laws, ie mandates) followed suit because of the size and the money these people had collectively; many of these businesses became at first masks optional, then no jab required to enter. IMO, this is why the CDC dropped their mandate.

Simple: my pet is not a guinea pig. He/she is indoors and I live in a suburb and haven't seen a bat is xxx years. Want me to get a titer to prove it? More words than A Simple No to a jab for us, but we pet owners' spines tend to turn to jello when talking about our pets' health.

I’ve long advocated for β€œVote with your wallet!” Great ideas.

I have been able to find a groomer who doesn't ask about my dog's vaccine status and a dog training academy in my general area that does keep records but understands when I tell them my dog won't be receiving any more vaccines to "update". So far no problems there.

Love that you read Jeff Childers coffeeandcovid.com, he’s fantastic!

Agreed. I really appreciate his knowledge and his subtle humor sprinkled in. He and Jenna McCarthy form my "news team" these days! https://jennasside.rocks/

I know this is kind of a work around the system, but hey whatever works at this point. My dog had her puppy shots done by the breeder. None since then and I haven't taken her in to establish care with another vet because "why"? She's healthy and happy and beautiful. She has never had the rabies shot. Back in December she had an open wound I was concerned about (turns out a hot spot which I wasn't familiar with) and I simply took her to the Emergency Vet in our area. They treated the wound and never once asked about vaccines. So that's my plan going forward if she ever gets "sick" and needs attention. God willing, she will remain rabies shot free and intact with no spay surgeries.

It’s a workaround and it’ll probably work for a spell but they’ll come a time when you’ll need non-emergency treatment, probably as your dog passed middle age. Here’s the best for that, that doesn’t risk allopathic damage (which can come for the ER, as well): hire a homeopathic vet who meet a couple of standards I outline here: https://youtu.be/XyEklB8W6M0

I've rescued my last 5 dogs from shelters, all with issues that kept them from finding forever homes. Unfortunately, they've all been vaccinated.

Thankfully, my last vet I went to didn't hassle me about vaccines when I told them I'm not vaccinating them. I also took some information from Dr. Shultz about immunity and gave it to them. One of the techs (not sure if the vets read it) and said "this is interesting. Can I make a copy of it?" Of course!

Love the Kaufman Institute utube, well done and spot on! Adore Dr. Bowden for her bravery and commitment to exceptional medical care and ethics. Lovely to see the goats roaming and free.

This is one readers may enjoy. Iyah May is an Aussie ER medical doctor and singer who worked through Covid and saw all the lies. She is young and fighting back as well. Here are 2 of her videos, Good Citizen and Karmageddon if anyone wants to take a peek. She is fierce and calling out everyone, good for her.

My border collie's liver spiked tremendously after spaying and her initial vax after I found her at age 3. Took 3 years to go back down. By then she was "due" for another rabies and her teeth were terrible. Vet wouldn't do her dental because she was "over due" by one week. I got coerced into it. Liver spiked again. Now she is "due" for parvo and whatever else comes with it. I said NO. Then the vet lectured me and sent me home with "signs of parvo" and won't do her dental without titers. Problem is I can't find any vet in my area who aren't vaccine bullies. She believes the liver issue is just coincidence.

Will Falconer, DVM's avatar

Adults don't get parvo, with rare exception. Puppy disease. Search out a more sympathetic vet who will serve your needs. And/or, start here: http://vitalanimal.com/natural-dental-prevention/

Thank you. My last dog lived to age 21 and she ate raw bones and we never had dental issues. This one won't chew on bones for some reason. I found a holistic vet but she retired. And the other one I found wants to see us every 3 months lol. Will keep trying! Thank you. I did find a dentist who doesn't sedate so will use her in the meantime and just skip this vet. I think the vax was parvo, distemper, and one other thing that she most likely will never get.

Taste0ftruth's avatar

I also have no local vets near me that aren’t vaccine bullies… It’s very frustrating and difficult to navigate. It makes me want to stop being a pet owner entirely.

Shea Stewart's avatar

That is Luna's issue. When we got her 5 years ago (she was dumped) she already had terrible teeth and had 10 pulled. I think she needs a couple more pulled. I do mouth probiotics, brush her teeth with a concoction I make, This is why she won't chew on raw bones she just licks them. I have never had a dog with dental issues so skated under the radar with vaccines with dogs. I am going to try non anesthesia one more time and see. Or hurry and get the 2 questionable teeth pulled before she is due for another rabies vax again.

Will Falconer, DVM's avatar

Do, do get the rotten ones out. Precursor to cancer, all the inflammation chronically lingering. https://vitalanimal.com/inflammation-cancer/

Shea Stewart's avatar

Thank you. I am hoping this next dentistry gets them all. I believe it is genetic with her. I also believe she might have the MTHFR gene as she has every symptom of it. She eats food I make, gets powdered bones and some other whole food supplement toppers with freeze dried raw organ and veggie topper. The vet also said she had beginnings of glaucoma! From my understanding following biophysicists that is the body's protection against LED and nnEMF's. We don't use LED's at night and turn off our WiFi so perhaps this is genetic. Trying to keep her as healthy as possible. I think I will just go the vet route with her dental and refuse the parvo distemper (can't remember the 3rd in it). She for sure has an inflammatory issue. My last dog was so sturdy and never had one issue until her last year but she was 21. And her only issue was hard of hearing/seeing. This one seems much more delicate!

For us, we found out that the un sedated cleanings do not get under the gum and some of the most dangerous aspects of dental disease, which has us in a pickle… 😭

Would an exemption form work for traveling with a dog across the US/Canada border? We arm going on a trip to a cabin on a lake in Canada and it would be so much fun to take her but she hasn’t had a single vaccine since her initial rabies shot.

Will Falconer, DVM's avatar

No, no governmental body will accept those waivers. But you'll want to talk to pet owners who cross that border regularly. I hear it's easier than expected, regardless of vaccine status.

Jessica Libolt's avatar

Good to know. I guess I could do a test run and try to take her over the border for a hike and see what happens.

Will Falconer, DVM's avatar

Sure, just check the requirements online and get a health certificate if that’s required. Vets write those, certifying healthy at the time they exam and sign

Can you please speak about safe things to keep flees and ticks off our dogs without toxic medications ? Thank you

Will Falconer, DVM's avatar

Sure, my website is chock full of info and searchable on every page. Here's the one addressing the non-toxic flea/tick control: http://vitalanimal.com/non-toxic-flea-control/

Thank you this article! I have three mini poodles and their teeth have gotten so bad and the vet wants to put them under for a cleaning. But this also requires for me to give them another rabies vaccination since it’s been about 5 years since their first doses as puppies. What would consider β€œsenior dogs?” My poodles are 7, 6 and 5. Appreciate any insights or advice. I feel sick to my stomach about weighing the pros vs the cons.

Will Falconer, DVM's avatar

It’s the wrong question. More appropriate: are my dogs likely still immune from their earlier shots? And: If you’re not going to recognize Duration of Immunity (search that term on https://VitalAnimal.com), we’ll be finding a vet who is smarter than you!

Taste0ftruth's avatar

I do understand what you’re saying, unfortunately, the vet told me they would not accept titers to prove he is still immune. They want an up to date vaccination record 😭

Will Falconer, DVM's avatar

And you want to pay money to these sharks?

Taste0ftruth's avatar

Of course not!! That’s why I’m asking πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Taste0ftruth's avatar

I’m shocked you speak so rudely to your followers. I’m not an idiot or green to this. But offended at hoe you communicated with me✌🏼 i’ll not be looking for your advice. Anytime in the future..

Sue Thompson's avatar

Offended easily. Noted.

Also, you didn't "ask" anything. You stated. If you have read Will for any length of time, you would not have been so rattled by his response. You said, "the vet"--and, as he has been clear in all his writings, you can look for another vet. Not easy to find one who will agree to a titer only. I found one here in Oklahoma but I couldn't find one when I lived in Delaware.

Yes I’ve looked and we don’t have any legitimate near by. It really sucks.

Lori's avatar

If you have a veterinary school in your state that is not far, most have a holistic department now as well. And yes, it does create frustration when you can't find one. Dr. Pamela Dragos is a holistic vet and does telemedincine consults.

Her website is drpameladragos.com Perhaps that might be something to consider!

Thank you for your kindness and suggestions! It is very difficult navigation all this with my sweet poodles. One has Addisons, Lime and other issues and my heart grieves at how careless most vets are.

If you search his name RD Schultz PHD, and variations there of, you'll find it and many more.
