Dear Dr. Falconer,
I want to thank you for helping me to find a natural vet in Australia. I even managed to find a homeopathic one - an hour's drive from my home.
In one visit - 2 stressed cats, one of which is vaccine injured. She ran simple neurological reflex-type tests on the damaged cat, checked our diet, environment, and intuited that the reason BOTH cats are stressed is because the damaged one is insecure about his disability. She did not have much hope that we could fix his disability, that we would have to work around it (too profound and permanent).
She confirmed that the cats are healthy (my concern, as they haven't been to a vet in 4 years), but that they are stressed due to his damage. (CONFIRMATION - JC is not crazy - the cat is indeed damaged!)
She gave us Chinese herbs: Xiao Yan San, and 2 homeopathic remedies (I can't quite read her writing) - one for grief for short term, one for "pissed off pussy" for long term. She recommended putting hemp oil and cat lax on the girl who is overgrooming, and tryptophan treats for both.
IF they are still struggling, she recommended CBD for them. AND, if thing settle, we may be able to switch to CBD only.
We're only one day into treatment, and I have great hope for the first time since I perceived the damage in the boy cat.
I'm writing here to recommend this form of vet care for everyone, and any vet who wants to take it up: SHOULD.
I'm also a little angry about the tryptophan. My last stressed cat got put on amitriptyline, which made her stupid for life - WHY THE EFF didn't the vet think about tryptophan, first? EGADS.
Thank you Dr. Falconer for standing up for the rights of critters to be healthy without marketing. (I blame the marketing more than I blame the vets)
I am sure I paid for classes but cannot find my class to continue where I left off. How do I find my classes- when I log in it does not show a "my classes" or "my lessons" or anything like that.
thanks
Pat
